Ronaldinho Caught in $60 Million Cryptocurrency Scam, Passports Seized

Cryptocurrency Fraud Allegations and $60 Million Damages Plague Ronaldinho

In a shocking revelation, former football sensation Ronaldinho is embroiled in a cryptocurrency scandal involving a staggering $60 million. Allegations of his connection to a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme have led to the seizure of his passport.

Once a standout player in the Brazilian league, Ronaldinho's extraordinary skills on the field made him a household name. His remarkable talent and flashy maneuvers secured him a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2001, where he recorded 25 goals and 17 assists in just two seasons, solidifying his reputation across Europe.

The summer of 2003 saw Manchester United's interest in acquiring Ronaldinho. However, due to unfortunate circumstances within the Manchester United board, the transfer fell through. Instead, Ronaldinho joined Barcelona, where he played a pivotal role in the club's successes, contributing 94 goals and 71 assists in 207 matches until his departure in 2008.

Fast forward to 2020, and Ronaldinho faced legal troubles related to passport forgery while attempting to enter Uruguay. Currently, he is accused of involvement in a cryptocurrency scam alongside his brother, facing trial in Brazil. Despite being obligated to attend the trial, Ronaldinho has refused to do so.

The alleged scam involves a cryptocurrency called '18k Ronaldinho,' created by a company that promised a daily 2% return on investments exceeding $30. Authorities have deemed these claims as exaggerated advertising. Given that the cryptocurrency utilized Ronaldinho's name, he has been designated as a potential accomplice, leading to his involvement as a prime suspect.

With reported damages of $60 million suffered by victims of the cryptocurrency scam, those affected are seeking compensation beyond this amount for their losses.

Ronaldinho's legal team contends that the company exploited his name and likeness without permission, asserting that Ronaldinho himself is also a victim in this situation.

Simultaneously, Brazilian media outlet 'Globo' reports that Ronaldinho has been subjected to a travel ban, with a court order instructing federal police to seize his passport.

The ongoing saga surrounding Ronaldinho's entanglement in the cryptocurrency scandal continues to captivate the public's attention. As legal proceedings unfold, the extent of his involvement and the implications for his reputation remain uncertain.
